Restricted Access Software

License restrictions

Some software that is installed on the VACC cluster is licensed and requires that each user of it acknowledge the terms of use. The following software packages have such restrictions. Each has a UVM Qualtrics form that contains a digest of the license restrictions that you must complete before we can add you to the access group for that package.

Amber

You must complete the LICENSE for Amber20 software, Key provisions form to gain access to Amber as installed on the VACC. When the form is submitted, that will create a ticket at the VACC, we will add you to the access group and send you a confirmation mail that we did so.

Gaussian

The UVM Chemistry department holds a site-license for Gaussian that covers unlimited use by UVM faculty, students, and staff. However, built into the software is a check that the user is a member of the Gaussian group. If you wish to use Gaussian, send e-mail to vacchelp@uvm.edu and ask to be added to the Gaussian group. Once you've been added, you'll get a confirmation.

NAMD

You must complete the LICENSE for NAMD software, Key provisions form to gain access to NAMD as installed on the VACC. When the form is submitted, that will create a ticket at the VACC, we will add you to the access group and send you a confirmation mail that we did so.

ORCA

You must complete the Key Provisions of the license for ORCA quantum chemistry software form to gain access to ORCA as installed on the VACC. When the form is submitted, that will create a ticket at the VACC, we will add you to the access group and send you a confirmation mail that we did so.
